Privacy Policy

Recon is a free product from Demand-Genius Ltd (“Demand Genius”, “we”, “us”). It reads your calendar and, each morning you have external meetings, emails you a short brief on what AI tools are likely telling your prospects before those calls. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: tom@demand-genius.com.
What we access
When you connect your Google account, we request:
- Your basic profile — name, email address, and profile picture — to create and identify your account.
- Your Google Calendar, read-only — event times, titles, and attendee email addresses. We use this only to find your upcoming external meetings and identify the companies you’re meeting.
We never create, edit, or delete calendar events. Access is read-only.
How we use it
- Detect which of your meetings are external (with people outside your own company).
- Identify the prospect’s company from attendee email domains, then research publicly available information about that company to build your brief.
- Generate and email you a daily brief before your calls, and render it on a private, unguessable web link.
What we store, and for how long
- Your profile (name, email) and a Google refresh token, so we can prepare your brief each morning without you signing in again.
- Limited meeting metadata (title, time) and the briefs we generate. We do not retain a copy of your full calendar.
- We keep this while your account is active. Unsubscribe or disconnect at any time (see Your choices), and you can email us to delete your account and associated data entirely.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We use a small set of service providers strictly to run Recon:
- Google (Gemini API) — to generate the brief. Data sent to the paid Gemini API is not used to train Google’s models.
- Resend — to deliver your email brief.
- Supabase (database) and Vercel (hosting) — to store data and run the service.
Google API Limited Use
Recon’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, data obtained from Google APIs is used only to provide and improve Recon’s user-facing features; is not sold; is not used for advertising; and is not used to train generalized AI/ML models. No humans read your Google data except where we have your consent, where needed for security or to comply with the law, or in aggregated/anonymized form for operations.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe — one tap in any brief email stops all future emails.
- Disconnect — revoke Recon’s access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete — email tom@demand-genius.com to have your account and data removed.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access tokens and your data are stored in access-controlled infrastructure and used only to run the service described here.
Changes
We’ll update this page if our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated by email where appropriate.
